"Carpe diem! Rejoice while you are alive; enjoy the day; live life to the fullest; make the most of what you have. It is later than you think."

"Achieving dreams, resolutions goals is actually a series of steps - each one a leap of faith. If you can open your mind, believe in yourself and your ability to achieve your dream it's time to take the nex step: Decide. Resolve, after all is to decide firmly with great determination. There is no time better than the present to make that leap of faith. The act of pursuing and achieving your dream can and will help you to find fulfillment in your life."

"Everything that I've read in recent years suggests that people are generally giving up on making New Year resolutions. I'm not surprised, folks are 'busy'. A long list of things that you feel you should 'change' about yourself can be daunting and overwhelming. Tiring, in fact. It's a tired idea. If it worked people would still be making and keeping their resolutions.
I'm not advocating that folks give up on self improvement. Actually, just the opposite. I believe a person will achieve more if he/she is focused on making just one improvement at a time. Or learning just one new thing. Or taking on just one new hobby. You get the gist. Typically the act of 'change', developing a new 'habit', or 'achieving a cherished dream' isn't something that happens overnight. It takes time and hard work. Days, months, sometimes years, but if it's something you truly want to achieve, you make the time, do the work."

"The act of pursuing and achieving your dream can and will help you to find fulfillment in your life. I'm not going to predict it's going to change your life forever, or be the best year you've ever had. Without question, you're going to hit bumps in the road, we all do, that's life. But each and every time you put your heart and soul into something you love, you will learn something, reap rewards, and find personal fullfilment."

"Do it now. Take that first small step. Open your mind, dare to dream, and make a decision to 'go for it' in 2007. Proscrastination is your worst enemy and patience is your best friend. One resolution, one day at a time for one year. Become a Resolution Revolutionary. Make each day count. Make each and every day New Year's Day!"

Yep, you guess it, another busy day! Work in the office, and running around DC on some errands. I did do some walking, so I got my 30-minutes of exercise today - thankfully! No laps, though :( Maybe this weekend. Until then . . .
